THE following notifications are republished from the New Zealand Gazette for general information.

Light House dues for Port of Wellington.

Chief Marine Board Office,
14th July, 1863.

THE following Light House dues for the Port of Wellington in New Zealand are hereby fixed in accordance with the powers vested in the Chief Marine Board by the XXV. section of “The Marine Board Act, 1862.”

1st. For all vessels from Europe or any others ports or places beyond the Australasian Colonies, 9d. per ton register.

2nd. All vessels from the Australian Colonies or Tasmania, 6d. per ton register.

3rd. For every steam vessel and sailing vessel employed in the coasting trade, 2d. per ton register.

The above dues shall be levied on entering only, and payable on and after the 1st day of September 1863.

Trustees of Colonial Hospital, Whanganui, appointed.

Native Office, Auckland,

HIS Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint

The Colonial Surgeon of Whanganui, for the time being, and
Henry Shafto Harrison, Esq., Whanganui,

to be Trustees of the Colonial Hospital of Whanganui, in the room of

George Rees, Esq., M.D., and
Captain Moses Campbell,
both of Whanganui, deceased.

In the absence of the Native Minister.


Appointment of Postmasters.

General Post Office,
Auckland, 11th August, 1863.

IN virtue of the powers delegated to me by His Excellency the Governor, the following appointments have been made in the service of the colony:—

READER GILSON WOOD.

Province of Wellington.

James Edward Ind Boys, to be Postmaster at Greytown, from the 1st May, 1863.
