NOTICE is hereby given, that at a
Meeting of Settlers held at Turakina, on the 7th inst., the following
Gentlemen were duly elected as a Board
for the management of the above mentioned Road.

Auckland, 28th July, 1863.
HIS Excellency the Governor has been
pleased to make the following appointments:—

In the Wanganui Militia,

Henry Peake, to be Lieutenant, date of
commission, 27th July, 1863.
Wilmot Powell, to be Ensign, date of
commission, 27th July, 1863.

In the Wanganui “Union Corps of Volunteers.”

Nathaniel Everson Beamish, to be Captain, date of commission, 11th June,
1863.

Archibald Cameron, to be Lieutenant
(in the Cavalry Troop), date of
commission, 11th June, 1863.
Joseph Willcox, to be Lieutenant, (in the
Rifle Company,) date of commission,
25th July, 1863.

Appointment of Officers.

of Militia.

Ensign Arthur Wicksteed to be Lieutenant. Date of commission, 30th

ENQUIRIES having been made respecting two persons named William and George Goodsall, who left Kent
for Australia some few years ago and are
now supposed to be in New Zealand,
