a. During the year 1860 the sum of £77 11s. was expended on repairs, equal to £3 2s. per prisoner, which being included under the head “Other Disbursements,” if deducted would leave that item £1 16s. 2d., and reduce the annual total cost per prisoner to £54 18s. 7d.

b. During the year 1861, £25 6s. 9d., or 16s. 11d. per prisoner, was expended on repairs, which being deducted as per last note, would leave the total annual cost £47 14s. 9d. per prisoner.
