Sheep Inspector’s Report.

Wanganui, 29th May, 1862:

To J. WOODWARD, Esquire,
Acting Provincial Secretary.

SIR,

I have the honor to enclose a Report of all the Scabby Flocks in my Districts, as per Inspection of the months of March and April of 1862. Some of those I have enumerated are all but clean, no Scab to be seen.

REPORT.

The following are all the Scabby Flocks in the Wanganui, Turakina, and Rangitiki Districts, as per Inspection of the months of March and April of 1862.

Westmere Taylor, Watt, & Co. 12th March Had been dipped three times since Shearing
Blink Bonny Thomas Heggie 20th „ Dipped several times since Shearing
FordeU Reid & Hume 23rd April Dipped twice since Shearing, a part clean within paddocks
Lamb Hill Dr. Allison 17th March Dipped several times since Shearing, but not all the flocks
Weretoe Captain Campbell 20th „ Had been dipped once, and dipping the second time
Mary Bank James Blyth 17th „ Had been twice dipped since Shearing
Wangahoe H. Sarjeant 27th „ Dipped twice since Shearing
Korerowhai John Jordan 27th „ Preparing pens for dipping for the first time since Shearing

In the aforementioned flocks there are not more than 1 per cent. Scab, and in some not that amount.
