PROCLAMATION,

By His Honor Isaac Earl Featherson, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Wellington, in the Islands of New Zealand.

WHEREAS by Act of the Provincial Council of the Province of Wellington, Session IX., No. 10, intituled "An Act to amend and consolidate the Law relating to District Highways," it was enacted among other things that the Superintendent might for the purposes of the said Act from time to time by Proclamation divide the Province or any part thereof into districts, and might in like manner subdivide, alter, or reunite the same. And whereas it is expedient to proclaim the portion of the Province hereinafter mentioned to be comprised within a District for the purposes of said Act. Now therefore, I, Isaac Earl Featherson, Superintendent of the Province of Wellington in virtue of the power and authority in me vested in this behalf, Do hereby proclaim and declare that all that piece of Land situate in and being bounded on the North by an East-and-West line from the North-West corner of section number One hundred and seventy-eight to the Pahautanui Small Farm Block, East by the River Hutt, and South and West by the boundaries of the District known as the Western Hutt District, as already proclaimed, and also by the boundary of the Horokiwi Road District, the Tkapu District and the Pahautanui District, to the above-mentioned Small Farm Block, and more particularly delineated by the plan drawn hereon, shall form and constitute a portion of the District already proclaimed and commonly known as the Western Hutt District, for the purposes of the District Highways’ Act.

Given under my hand and issued under the Public Seal of the Province of Wellington, at Wellington, this tenth day of September, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-two.
