PROCLAMATION.
By His Honor Isaac Earl Featherston, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Wellington, in the Islands of New Zealand.
WHEREAS by the Land Regulations now in force in the Province of Wellington, it is declared that all Reserves for the sites of Townships, or suburban lands for the sites of Agricultural and Small Farm Settlements, or for any other purpose of public advantage, safety, convenience, health, or enjoyment, shall be determined by the Superintendent, who shall notify the same by Proclamation, wherein the object shall be specified for which any reserve shall be made. And whereas, it would be of public advantage if certain land in the Moroa Block, in the Wairarapa District, was set apart for a Race Course: Now therefore, I, Isaac Earl Featherston, Superintendent of the Province of Wellington, in virtue of the power and authority vested in me in this behalf, Do hereby Proclaim and declare, that part of Section Number Four (4), in the Moroa Block, in the Wairarapa District, containing One hundred and twenty-one (121) acres, more or less; bounded North, by a public road,
East, by other part of the said Section No. 4, purchased by Mary Ann Nairn, and by Section No. 1; South, by Section No. 5; and West, by the Tauherenikau River, is hereby reserved and set apart by me for the purpose aforesaid.
Given under my hand, and issued under the Public Seal of the Province of Wellington, at Wellington, this sixteenth day of April, One thousand eight hundred and sixty-two.
