VICTORIA, by the Grace of GOD of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, Queen—

To JAMES CARTER, of the Town of Wellington, in the Province of Wellington, and Colony of New Zealand, Manager of the Union Bank of Australia there, Greeting:

Whereas an action has been commenced in the Supreme Court of New Zealand, for the Middle District at Wellington, wherein Gilbert Pickett and Henry Owen, trading under the style or firm of "Gilbert Pickett and Company," linen drapers, are Plaintiffs, and Theobald Walter Burke, is Defendant: And whereas it hath been made known to us that there are monies and personal property belonging to the said Theobald Walter Burke, now in the hands or in the Custody or under the control of you the said James Carter, We command you that you do not sell or otherwise dispose of or part with the said money and personal property of the said Theobald Walter Burke, or any part thereof until the further order of the said Court shall be made known to you.

Witness, ALEXANDER JAMES JOHNSTON, Esquire, a Judge of the Supreme Court of our Colony of New Zealand, the eleventh day of June, 1861.

INDORSEMENT.—This Writ was issued by Alfred de Bathe Brandon, of Lambton Quay, Wellington, Solicitor for the Plaintiffs.

To WILLIAM HENRY NEWLAND, of the Town of Wellington, in the Province of Wellington, in the Colony of New Zealand, Deputy-Assistant Commissary General, George Crawford, of the same place, Merchant, and Richard Barry, also of the same place, Publican, Greeting:—

Whereas an action has been commenced in the Supreme Court of New Zealand, for the Middle District at Wellington, wherein Charles William Schulze, Esquire, is Plaintiff, and James Walker, is Defendant; and whereas it hath been made known to us that there are monies, real and personal property belonging to the said James Walker, now in the hands or in the custody or under the control of you and each of you, the said William Henry Newland, George Crawford, and Richard Barry. We command you and each of you that you do not sell or otherwise dispose of or part with the said money, real and personal property, of the said James Walker, or any part thereof, until the further order of the said Court shall be made known to you.

Witness, ALEXANDER JAMES JOHNSTON, Esquire, a Judge of the Supreme Court of our Colony of New Zealand, the eleventh day of June, 1861.

To JOHN MARTIN, of the Town of Wellington, in the Province of Wellington and Colony of New Zealand, Merchant, RICHARD JOHN DUNCAN and GEORGE HENRY VENNELL, both of the same place, Merchants, trading together under the style or firm of Duncan and Vennell, GEORGE COLLIE, of the same place, Gentleman, and JOHN GOTTY, of the Town of Wangauui, in the said Province, Farmer, Greeting:—

Whereas an action has been commenced in the Supreme Court of New Zealand for the Middle District at Wellington, wherein William Hickson of the Town of Wellington, in the said Province, Merchant, is Plaintiff, and Eliza Tinley, Michael Egan Murvin, and John Golledge, all of the city of Sydney, in the Colony of New South Wales, Executors of the Estate of Thomas Tinley, deceased, are Defendants: And whereas it hath been made known to us that there are monies and real or personal property belonging to the said Estate of the said late Thomas Tinley, now in the hands or in the custody or under the control of you the said John Martin, Richard John Duncan, George Henry Vennell, George Collie, and John Gotty: We command you that you do not sell or dispose of or part with the said monies and real or personal property of the said Thomas Tinley, or any part thereof, until the further order of the said Court shall be made known to you.

Witness, ALEXANDER JAMES JOHNSTON, Esquire, a Judge of the Supreme Court of our Colony of New Zealand, the 18th day of June, 1861.
