Legal Writ and Public Works Notice




VICTORIA, by the Grace of GOD of the
United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, Queen,—

To JAMES WILLIE SEDCOLE, of Wellington,
in the Province of Wellington, and Colony of
New Zealand, Master Mariner, Master of the Ship or
Vessel called the "THAMES CITY," now lying at
anchor in the Port of Wellington aforesaid,
Greeting:

Whereas an action has been commenced in the
Supreme Court of New Zealand, for the Middle
District at Wellington, aforesaid, wherein George
Crawford is Plaintiff and Henry Routhwaite is De-
fendant: And whereas it has been made known
to us that there is personal property belonging
to the said Henry Routhwaite, now in the hands
or in the Custody or under the control of you
the said James Willie Sedcole: We command
you that you do not sell or otherwise dispose of
or part with the said personal property of the said
Henry Routhwaite, or any part thereof until the
further order of our said Court shall be made
known to you.

Witness ALEXANDER JAMES JOHNSTON
Esquire, a Judge of our Supreme Court of New
Zealand, at Wellington, the eighth day of January,
1861.

This Writ was issued by John King, of Manners
street, in Wellington, Solicitor, for the within named
George Crawford.


NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS.

Plans and Specifications may be seen at this
Office on and after Thursday next, for the
Building of a Sea Wall and Wooden Breastwork,
also for Totara Drain in connection with the
reclaiming of the Land on Lambton Quay.

The above Works are divided into five Contracts,
and may be tendered for separately or together.
Tenders to be sent into this Office by 12 o’clock
on Monday, February 4, 1861.
