NOTICE.

Provincial Treasury,
Wellington, 22nd April, 1861.

In consequence of the irregularity with which Accounts against the Provincial Government are sent in for payment, it is notified for public information that accounts are paid on the 12th of each month; but that unless they are lodged for examination with the various Departments to which they relate on or before the sixth of the month, payment will be necessarily postponed until the month following.

NOTICE.

Crown Lands Office,
Wellington, 29th April, 1861.

The Commissioner cautions the public that the Land Orders issued to Naval and Military Settlers, entitling them to select land free of cost, are not transferable.

Any person therefore purchasing such Land Orders will do so at his own risk.

SUPREME COURT.

NOTICE is hereby given, that by virtue of a deputation under the hand and Seal of His Honor Mr. Justice Johnston, Robert Hart, Esquire, Judge of the District Court, will during the absence of His Honor from the Province of Wellington, settle Issues in actions, hear and decide all matters and applications usually heard by Judges at Chambers, under and according to the Rules now in force for regulating the practice and procedure of the Supreme Court.

DISTRICT COURT.

NOTICE is hereby given that a Sitting of the District Court will be holden at the Supreme Court House at Wellington, on Wednesday the 15th day of May, 1861, at ten o'clock in the forenoon, when all parties concerned are required to give their attendance.

DISTRICT COURT.

NOTICE is hereby given, that a Sitting of the District Court of Wanganui, for the despatch of Civil and Criminal business, will be holden at the Resident Magistrate's Court House, Wanganui, in the Province of Wellington, on Wednesday the 19th day of June, 1861, or so soon after as practicable, at ten o'clock in the forenoon, at which time and place all persons bound by Recognizances, Prosecutors, Witnesses, or Defendants, are required to give their attendance.
