PROCLAMATION.

By His Honor Isaac Earl Featherston,
Esquire, Superintendent of the Province
of Wellington, in the Islands of New Zealand.

WHEREAS, by an Act of the Provincial Council of the Province of Wellington, Session X., No. 4, intituled “An Act to consolidate the law relating to District Highways,” it was enacted among other things that the Superintendent might, for the purposes of the said Act, from time to time, by Proclamation, divide the Province, or any part thereof, into districts, and might in like manner subdivide, alter, or re-unite the same: And Whereas it is expedient to proclaim the portion of the Province herein-after mentioned, to be a District for the purposes of the said Act: Now therefore I, Isaac Earl Featherston, Superintendent of the Province of Wellington, in virtue of the power and authority vested in me in this behalf, do hereby Proclaim and declare that the portion of the Pahautanui district comprising the block of land surveyed and set apart as an Agricultural Reserve, and so much of Section No. 63, Pahautanui, as lies to the Northward of the Pahautanui river, shall form and constitute a District for the purposes of the District Highways Act, and shall be called the “Pahautanui Small Farm District.”

Given under my hand, and issued under the Public Seal of the Province of Wellington, at Wellington, this seventeenth day of April, One Thousand Eight Hundred and Sixty.
