NOTICE.
NOTICE is hereby given, that the Road Rates imposed on the Sections No. 1, 4, 5, 10, 14, and 19, in the “South Makara Road District” not having been paid, and upwards of six months having elapsed since the passing of the assessment, it is the intention of the Board of Wardens to sell the portions of such several sections hereinafter described, viz. —

And notice is hereby also given, that Mr. James Smith, of Lambton Quay, Merchant and Auctioneer, has been appointed by His Honor the Superintendent to sell the same, and that plans of the land to be sold are deposited at Mr. Smith’s offices.

VICTORIA by the Grace of God of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, Queen—To Charlotte Burke of Kai-warra-warra in the Province of Wellington and Colony of New Zealand wife of Theobald Walter Burke late of the same place Licensed Victualler,
Greeting:
Whereas an action has been commenced in the Supreme Court of New Zealand for the Middle District at Wellington wherein John Martin is plaintiff and the said Theobald W. Burke is defendant: And whereas it hath been made known to us that there are money and personal property belonging to the said Theobald Walter Burke now in the hands or in the custody or under the control of you the said Charlotte Burke we command you that you do not sell or otherwise dispose of or part with the said money and personal property of the said Theobald Walter Burke or any part thereof until the further order of our said Court shall be made known to you.
Witness—Alexander James Johnston, Esquire, a Judge of our Supreme Court of New Zealand, at Wellington, the 19th day of December, 1860.
ENDORSEMENT.—This Writ was issued by John King, of Manners street, in Wellington, Solicitor for the within-named John Martin.
