PROCLAMATION.
By His Honor ISAAC EARL FEATHERSTON, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Wellington, in the Islands of New Zealand.
WHEREAS by an Act of the Provincial Council of the Province of Wellington, Session Three, Number Four, intituled "An Act to consolidate the Law relating to District Highways," it was enacted among other things, that the Superintendent might, for the purposes of the said Act, from time to time, by Proclamation, divide the Province, or any part thereof, into Districts, and might in like manner subdivide, alter, or re-unite the same. And whereas it is expedient to proclaim the portion of the Province hereinafter mentioned to be a District for the purposes of the said Act:
Now therefore I, ISAAC EARL FEATHERSTON, Superintendent of the Province of Wellington, in virtue of the power and authority vested in me in this behalf, Do hereby proclaim and declare that the Block of land comprising the following Sections, and parts of Sections, viz., Sections (43) Forty-three, (excepting thereout the land part thereof belonging to Allington and John Pimble), that part of Section (44) Forty-four comprising Twenty-five acres in the occupation of William Barnes; (45) Forty-five; (46) Forty-six; (47) Forty-seven; (48) Forty-eight; (49) Forty-nine; (50) Fifty; (51) Fifty-one; and (52) Fifty-two, on the plan or survey of the Karori District, and also the road leading from the Karori road to the said Sections, shall form and constitute a District for the purposes of the District Highways Act, and shall be called the South Karori Road District.
Given under my hand, and issued under the Public Seal of the Province of Wellington, this Twelfth day of December, One thousand Eight hundred and Sixty.

SEALED TENDERS will be received at this Office on or before THURSDAY, 20th December, at noon, from persons desirous of executing by contract, either of the undermentioned services for the Provincial Government for the 12 months ending 31st December, 1861.
PRINTING.
Printing the Provincial Government Gazette, and inserting the same in one of the local newspapers.
PRINTING OFFICIAL FORMS.
Further particulars may be obtained at this Office.
FIREWOOD.
Rata or Manukau, in two feet lengths, delivered and stacked at the office or building requiring the supply.
Separate tenders will be required for supplying the Wellington Gaol.
The Government or the contractors will be at liberty to terminate any of the above contracts, by giving three months’ notice of their desire to do so.
