I, WILLIAM WARING TAYLOR, Deputy Superintendent of the Province of Wellington, under and in pursuance of the powers in this behalf vested in me, do hereby notify and declare that from and after the publication hereof the footpaths in the streets and public places known as Wicksteed Place, St. Hill street, Taupo quay, Ridgway street, Nixon Place, and the Market Place in the Town of Wanganui in the Province of Wellington, shall be deemed and taken to be Public Footpaths, within the meaning of an Ordinance of the Eighth Session of the late Legislative Council of New Zealand, intituled "An Ordinance to provide for the protection of Footpaths in the Colony of New Zealand."

Wellington, this Ninth day of October, One Thousand Eight Hundred and Sixty.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the Board of Wardens of the North Makara District Road, have caused to be made and deposited in the Office of the Provincial Secretary, Wellington, a survey plan and section of the intended works, and a book, in which is recorded the names of the owners and occupiers of the land on which the road is intended to be made; in terms of the District Highway’s Act, 1856, clause 22.
