ESCAPED PRISONERS.

REWARD!

WHEREAS the undermentioned prisoners escaped from the Gaol at Wellington, on Monday, the 4th day of April instant, this is to give notice that the reward attached to the several names of the Prisoners enumerated below, will be paid to any person or persons who shall effect the capture of any of them, and lodge them in the Gaol at Wellington.

JOHN WOODS, £50.

Age 44, height 5 feet 7¾ inches, full face, broad flat nose, sallow complexion. When seen last, bleeding profusely from the forehead.

WILLIAM SHIELDS, £10.

Age 29, 5 feet 6 inches in height, dark complexion, diamond ⋄ J. A. and two dots on left arm, fingers all marked, back of hand marked Y.

JOHN D’ARCY, £10.

Age 40, height 5 feet 6 inches, very stout, full round face, red whiskers, sandy complexion, hair of the head very thin, and bald on the top.

WILLIAM DARLEY, £10.

Age 21, height 5 feet 9¼ inches, thin body, dark complexion, dark hair, and whiskers; formerly in H. M. 65th Regt.

JAMES KELLY, £10.

Age 22, height 5 feet 10½ inches, body very thin, sallow complexion, black hair, no whiskers, black eyes much sunken in the head; supposed to be wounded.

Seven marks on left thumb, two moles on the left side. Right arm, five marks in the shape of a diamond and under it a mole.

N.B.—All the prisoners had on, at the time of their escape, gaol clothing marked W.G.
