NOTICE.
WHEREAS by an Ordinance of the late Legislature of New Zealand, intituled “An Ordinance for regulating the Slaughtering of Cattle in certain places,” it was enacted that it should be lawful for the Governor from time to time, as occasion might require, to fix a scale of fees to be levied, collected and received, from every party who should bring any cattle to be slaughtered at any public slaughter-house or place for slaughtering cattle: And whereas such authority so far as concerns the Province of Wellington, is now, by law, vested in the Superintendent of the said Province:
And whereas it is expedient to fix the scale of fees to be levied, collected, and received, for slaughtering cattle at the Public Slaughter House in the Town of Wanganui: Now therefore, I, Isaac Earl Featherston, Superintendent of the Province of Wellington, do hereby fix the following scale of fees to be levied, collected, and received, from persons bringing cattle to be slaughtered at the Public Slaughtering Place in the Town of Wanganui, aforesaid, viz.:
For every Bull, Cow, Heifer, Steer, or other Head of Cattle... 2s. 6d.
For every Calf and Pig... 1s. 6d.
For every score of Sheep or Goats... 10s. 0d.
Given under my hand this thirty-first day of January, one thousand eight hundred and fifty-nine.
