PUBLIC NOTICE.
Crown Land Office,
Wellington, 27th August, 1859.
JOHN JOSEPH WOOD having applied to me to have the undermentioned Blocks of Land put up to Auction, at the upset price of five shillings per acre, I hereby give notice that I have Certified that the said lands are, from their broken character and otherwise, so unavailable for agricultural purposes that they are not worth ten shillings per acre; and that they will be put up to Public Auction, at an upset price of five shillings per acre, at the Crown Land Office, Wellington, on Thursday, the Sixth day of October, 1859, at one o’clock in the afternoon, under clause 8 of Section III. of the Land Regulations of 4th March, 1853.

PROCLAMATION.
By His Honor ISAAC EARL FEATHERSTON, ESQUIRE, Superintendent of the Province of Wellington, in the Islands of New Zealand.
WHEREAS by Act, No. 7, Session IV., intituled "An Act to provide for the management of a Public Park and Race Course in the Hutt District," the Superintendent is empowered to proclaim a portion of land in the Hutt District to be reserved as a Public Park or Race Course.
Now therefore, I, ISAAC EARL FEATHERSTON, Superintendent of the Province of Wellington, Do hereby Proclaim that the Block of Land situate in the District of the Lower Hutt, comprised within the following boundaries, viz. :—towards the North by Section, No. 12; towards the North-East by Section, No. 13; towards the South-East and South by Section, No. 15; again towards the South by High Water Mark; and towards the West by the Hutt River, and by Section, No. 11.
Excepting always a Native Reserve situated on the Eastern side of the former embouchure of the Hutt River, and also excepting a piece of land containing four acres known, and delineated on the Plan as Frethey’s Island, is reserved for the purpose of a Public Park and Race Course in the Hutt District in accordance with the above recited Act.
Given under my hand and issued under the Public Seal of the Province of Wellington, at Wellington, this twenty-ninth day of August, One thousand eight hundred and fifty-nine.

HIS HONOR THE SUPERINTENDENT directs the publication of the following Regulations for the Sale and disposal of the Public Lands in the Province of Wellington, which will be proposed for adoption to the Provincial Council in the ensuing Session, in accordance with the third clause of "The Waste Lands’ Act, 1854."

ADDITIONAL LAND REGULATIONS for the Amendment and Extension of the Regulations of 4th March, 1853, and of the additional Regulations adopted by the Council for the Province of Wellington, on Thursday, February 15th, 1855, and Proclaimed by His Excellency the Governor on the 16th day of June, 1855.
Loan Reserves.

The Superintendent is authorised, and is hereby required, to reserve out of the Town, Suburban and Rural Lands, now open or hereafter to be open for sale in different parts of the Province, suitable allotments and sections of land, to be designated "Loan Reserves."

These Loan Reserves shall be properly defined and proclaimed and characterised by some suitable mark on the maps of each district.

So soon as conveniently can be, after such Reserves shall have been so defined and proclaimed, the Superintendent shall cause such Reserves to be placed in Trust, in the name of Three Commission-
