HIS HONOR THE SUPERINTENDENT directs the publication of the following Regulations for the Sale and disposal of the Public Lands in the Province of Wellington, which will be proposed for adoption to the Provincial Council in the ensuing Session, in accordance with the third clause of “The Waste Lands’ Act, 1854.”

ADDITIONAL LAND REGULATIONS

For the Amendment and Extension of the Regulations of 4th March, 1853, and of the Additional Regulations adopted by the Council for the Province of Wellington, on Thursday, February 15th, 1855, and Proclaimed by His Excellency the Governor on the 16th day of June, 1855.

Loan Reserves.

The Superintendent is authorised, and is hereby required, to reserve out of the Town, Suburban and Rural Lands, now open or hereafter to be open for sale in different parts of the Province, suitable allotments and sections of land, to be designated “Loan Reserves.”
These Loan Reserves shall be properly defined and proclaimed and characterised by some suitable mark on the maps of each district.
So soon as conveniently can be, after such Reserves shall have been so defined and proclaimed, the Superintendent shall cause such Reserves to be placed in Trust, in the name of Three Commissioners, to be called, “The Commissioners for liquidating the Public debts of the Province of Wellington.”
