ELECTION NOTICE.
Electoral District of Wellington Country
District.
IN PURSUANCE of an Act of the
General Assembly of New Zealand,
intituled "The Regulation of Elections
Act, 1858," I, HENRY ST. HILL, Returning
Officer for the "Electoral District
of Wellington Country District," Do
Hereby Give Notice that by virtue of a
Writ, bearing date the twentieth day of
July, 1859, issued under the hand of
ISAAC EARL FEATHERSTON, Esquire, Superintendent
of the Province of Wellington,
an Election will be held for the
return of a qualified person to serve as a
Member of the Provincial Council of the
Province of Wellington, for the said
Electoral District, in the room of JOHN
JOHNSTON, Esquire, who has resigned
his seat in the said Provincial Council;
and that the Nomination of Candidates
will take place at the Resident Magistrate's
Court, Wellington, on Monday,
the fifteenth (15th) day of August, 1859;
and that the Poll (if necessary) will be
taken on Thursday, the eighteenth (18th)
day of August, 1859.
