Rate payers held on the 3rd instant, viz.,

PUBLIC WORKS—TE KOPI LINE.
CONTRACT FOR METALLING.
TENDERS will be received at this Office, up to noon on Tuesday, the 11th day of June, for the Metalling of fifty (60) chains of the above line of road across the Swamp near Waihinga.
The Specification may be seen at Mr. Hodge’s, Morrison’s Bush; the Post Office, Greytown; the Pioneer Hotel, Three Mile Bush; or at the Office of the Provincial Engineer, Wellington.
All tenders to be endorsed—“Tenders for Metalling Te Kopi Line.”

NOTICE.
Superintendent’s Office,
Wellington, 27th May, 1869.
THE SUPERINTENDENT of the Province of Wellington, do hereby declare and notify, that the lands described in the annexed Schedule, over which the Native Title has been extinguished, will be open for public selection under the Land Regulations of the said Province, at the Land Office Wellington, on and after the First day of July, 1869.
SCHEDULE.
District of Wairarapa, Forty Mile Bush Block—Estimated Acreage, 80,000.
The Boundaries commence on the Ruamahanga River at the mouth of the Owangai Creek, and crossing the Kopuaranga River in a North Easterly direction to Mangapungapunga and on to the Ahiaruhe, Kitakitaki, Mikotahi Tetewahanui, Te Wakarongo, and on to Mongorongo, here the boundary turns and running in a Westerly direction to Eketahuna and on to the Makakahi River, down which it now continues in a South Westerly direction to its source in the Tararua Range, and on to the source of the Ohau River, hence to the source of the Ruamahanga River down which it continues to where the Owangi falls into it—where the boundaries commenced.
