PROCLAMATION.
By His Honor ISAAC EARL FEATHERSTON, Superintendent of the Province of Wellington, in the Islands of New Zealand.
I, ISAAC EARL FEATHERSTON, Superintendent of the Province of Wellington, do hereby proclaim and notify that the undermentioned Block of Land in the Ahuriri District, acquired from the Natives, will be open for sale, according to the Land Regulations, on the twenty-fifth day of June, one thousand eight hundred and fifty-eight, at the office of the Land Commissioners at Napier and Wellington.
The Kidnapper Block, containing about 29,000 Acres, the boundaries of which are as follows, viz :- A line commencing at Waipaka and running along the coast to Cape Kidnapper; from thence along the coast until it reaches the boundary of the Suburban Land near the Township of Clive; thence along that boundary to the Tukituki River; thence up the river to Papaotihi, where it turns towards the eastward, and runs along the Horse Road to the Maraetotara Stream, crosses that stream, and still continues along the road to the commencement of the boundary at Waipaka;—excepting the piece of Land retained, comprised within the boundaries, at Cape Kidnapper, called Rangaika, the boundary of which commences at Whakapau, and runs along the ridge to Rakaitokutu thence to Kairangi, whence it descends to the coast and runs on to the Paupau, thence it follows the sea coast until it joins the Whakapau.
A plan of the above Block may be seen at the Crown Lands Offices in Wellington and Napier.

NOTICE is hereby given that the General Annual Licensing Meeting of the Justices of the Peace for the District of Wellington will be held at this Court, on Tuesday, the twentieth day of April next, at twelve o’clock in the forenoon, for the purpose of considering Applications for Licenses for the Sale of Fermented and Spirituous Liquors, in compliance with the provisions of the Licensing Ordinance, 5th Victoria, Sess. II, No. 12.
All applications must be lodged with the Clerk to the Bench on or before Tuesday, the sixth day of April next.

THE following Goods will be sold by Public Auction on Tuesday the 30th March instant, at 12 o’clock at noon, under Ordinance 4th Victoria, No. 3, Session I., Section 43, at the undermentioned warehouses, for duty and warehouse rent, unless previously re-warehoused or cleared for Home Consumption or Exportation.

NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS.
TENDERS will be received at the office of the Provincial Secretary, until noon of Tuesday, the 6th April, 1858, for cutting about 2 miles of Bridle-path in the Ohariu Valley, in continuation of the new road. Plan and specification may be seen at this office.
