HIS HONOR the Superintendent has been pleased to appoint Monday, the 27th instant, to be held as a Public Holiday, in honor of the celebration of the Marriage of Her Royal Highness the Princess Royal.

In the Estate of Mrs. Agnes Burham, late of the Hutt, Widow, deceased, Intestate.

PURSUANT to the Rule of this Honorable Court, the Creditors of the abovenamed Intestate are, on or before the 18th day of December next, to come in and prove their debts before Robert Rodger Strang, Esq., at his office, in the Court House, Wellington, or in default thereof they will be peremptorily excluded from all benefits arising from the said Estate.

PROCLAMATION.

By His Honor ISAAC EARL FEATHERSTON, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Wellington, in the Islands of New Zealand.

I, ISAAC EARL FEATHERSTON, Superintendent of the Province of Wellington, do hereby in virtue of the power vested in me in this behalf, by the “Superintendents’ Deputy Act, 1856,” of the General Assembly of New Zealand, proclaim and appoint William Fitzherbert, of the Hutt Valley, in the said Province, Esquire, to be my Deputy, and as such to perform and exercise all such acts and powers as by the said Act I am empowered to confer upon a Deputy.

Given under my hand, and issued under the Public Seal of the Province of Wellington, this 24th day of September, eighteen hundred and fifty-eight.

£500 REWARD.

AVAILABLE GOLD FIELD.

Provincial Secretary’s Office,
Wellington, 16th Sept., 1858.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Provincial Government of Wellington will award a Sum or Sums of money, not exceeding in the whole the amount of Five Hundred Pounds Sterling, payable to any one person, or distributable rateably amongst any number of persons, who shall discover and make known to the Government the existence of an available Gold Field within the Province of Wellington.

All claims for the payment of this reward, or any portion of it, are to be sent in to this Office addressed to the Provincial Secretary in the first instance, by whom they will be afterwards referred to the decision of a Commission, consisting of three persons, one to be named by the Wellington Chamber of Commerce, and two by the Superintendent.

By available Gold Field is meant a district within which Gold shall be judged by the Commissioners to exist capable of affording employment to a body of not less than 200 diggers at a remunerative rate of wages.

This offer of a Reward is to extend over a period of two months from this date, but not longer, unless extended by special notice.

NOTICE TO MARINERS.

PENCARROW LIGHTHOUSE.

NOTICE is hereby given, that preparatory to erecting the new Lighthouse, the Beacon hitherto standing on Pencarrow Head has been taken down, and a Flagstaff substituted, the said Flagstaff carrying a White Flag with a Red Ball over it.
