The following additional Land Regulations are published in accordance with the Third Clause of the “Waste Lands Act, 1854,” of the General Assembly.

Additional Land Regulations, to be proposed to the Provincial Council of the Province of Wellington for adoption, by E. Jerningham Wakefield, Esquire, Member of the Provincial Council.
SECOND REPORT OF THE SELECT COMMITTEE ON LAND ON DEFERRED PAYMENTS.
Your Committee, instructed on the 13th April to prepare regulations instead of a Bill, as recommended in their report and also instructed on the 15th April, to prepare Regulations, in a similar spirit to the “Open Land Boards” Bill, for publication and proposal under the provisions of the “Waste Lands Act, 1854,” having considered the provisions of the “Auckland Waste Lands Act, 1858,”
and also those of the “Open Land Boards” Bill, which has been read a first time in the Council, report as follows:
The Committee recommend that the annexed Additional Regulations, for the sale, letting, disposal, and occupation of the Waste Lands of the Crown within the province of Wellington, shall be published in the Provincial Government Gazette, and in the two newspapers published in the City of Wellington, in order that the said Regulations may be proposed to the Provincial Council for their adoption, with a view to their being recommended to the Governor for issue and enforcement by proclamation, according to the provisions of the “Waste Lands Act, 1854,” of the General Assembly.
The Committee also recommend that the Chairman of the Committee be ordered to propose the said Regulations to the Council for their adoption, at such time and in such manner as will comply with the provisions of the said Act of the General Assembly.
