PROCLAMATION.
By His Honor Isaac Earl Featherston,
Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Wellington, in the Islands of New Zealand.
WHEREAS, by the District Highways Act, 1856, of the Provincial Council of Wellington, Session III., No. 4, it was among other things enacted, that the Superintendent might for the purposes of that Act, from time to time, by Proclamation divide the Province, or any part thereof, into Districts: Now, therefore, I, Isaac Earl Featherston, Superintendent of the Province of Wellington, do hereby proclaim that the part of the Province, situate in the Hutt Valley and District, comprised within the boundaries hereinafter described shall be a District, for the purposes of the said "District Highways Act, 1856," viz.:—Along the North-Eastern boundary lines of Sections Sixty-five, Sixty-six, and Sixty-seven; thence along the South-Eastern and South-Western boundary lines of Section Sixty-seven; thence along the Eastern boundary lines of Sections Seventy, Seventy-two, and Seventy-four; thence along the Southern boundary lines of Sections Seventy-three and Seventy-four; thence along the South-Western boundary lines of Sections Seventy-three, Seventy-one, and Sixty-nine; thence along the North-Western boundary lines of Sections Sixty-nine and Sixty-eight; thence along the North-Western boundary line of Section Sixty-five to the Road; and thence along the North-Western boundary line of Section Sixty-five.
Given under my hand, and issued under the Public Seal of the Province of Wellington, at Wellington, this twenty-ninth day of April, One thousand eight hundred and fifty-eight.

NOTICE TO RUNHOLDERS
Chief Land Commissioner’s Office,
Wellington, 7th May, 1858.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that all Assessments, due 31st December, 1857, on Runs for which Licenses have been issued, and for which Licenses are now lying at this office ready for issue (a Schedule of which was published on the 19th April last), must be paid into this office forthwith, in accordance with Sections 5 and 6 of Clause XI. of the "Regulations for the Licensed Occupation of the Public Pasture Lands of the Province of Wellington" or the Licenses will be forfeited, and the Runs to which they relate will be let by public auction.
