NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the Superintendent has appointed the following additional Polling Place, for the purpose of the elections for members of the House of Representatives, for members of the Provincial Council, and also for the Superintendent of the Province.

NOTICE TO BUILDERS AND CONTRACTORS.

TENDERS will be received at this Office on the 30th instant, at noon, for the erection of several Works at the Wellington Gaol, according to plans and specifications now ready for inspection at this office.

TO CONTRACTORS AND BUILDERS.

TENDERS will be received at this Office on the twenty second day of October Instant, at noon, for the erection of a wooden bridge over the stream near the “Highlander” Public House, according to the plans and specifications now lying for inspection at the Provincial Engineers Office.

WELLINGTON STEAM NAVIGATION COMPANY.

NOTICE is hereby given that application will be made to the Provincial Council of Wellington at their next Session at Wellington by the present Joint Stock Company or Partnership under the Mixed Partnerships Act, carrying on business at Wellington under the style or firm of William Hickson, William Barnard Rhodes, George Hunter, William Bowler, William Waring Taylor, and others, Wellington Steam Navigation Company, for the introduction of a Bill for the carrying on the business of such Company or Partnership with limited liability and to be called or styled “Wellington Steam Navigation Company, limited liability.” That the general nature of the business to be transacted by such Company will be the conveyance of Passengers and goods in the Steam Vessel Wonga Wonga, or any other Steam vessel or vessels the said Company may have between such places as the said Company may from time to time determine, and also to provide for the Sale and Transfer of Shares and the doing all such other acts and things as are incidental or conducive to the attainment of the above objects.
