Land Run Applications




NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the undermentioned Applications have been registered at the Land Office, Ahuriri, and that failing objections given to the Commissioner within three months from the date hereof, Licences for the Runs will be issued to the applicants.

Ahuriri Block George Imrie Commencing at the junction of the Inangatahe stream with the Mohaka river, thence the Inangatahe to Pu. kititiriforest; thence along its North-West margin to western end of same; thence by an imaginary line to Mohaka river, about Ngataka Whitu, so as to include 10,000 acres; thence that river to starting point. 10,000 Acres.
" William Marshall North—The Taupo road and the Opata Manui stream. East—the junction of the Kai Waka and the Otakowastreams. South and South East—the Otakowa stream from its junction with the Kai Waka to within about half-a-mile of the source of its Southern branch, so as to include the burnt bush, thence by a line over a saddle at the foot of a high hill to a Raupo creek, running south-west; thence by a line to where Mr. Gray’s South Eastern boundary strikes the Mangaone River. West—Mr. Gray’s eastern boundary. It is proposed to extend Mr. Marshall’s Northern Boundary to the Nga Kokako stream on the acquisition of the Tongohio Block from the natives. 10,000
" Robert Cookburn The Western boundary of Mr. Cookburn’s Run is hereby extended about three quarters of a mile farther West than that described in Provincial Gazette, No. 24, of the 13th of November, 1856. 1,100
" John Munro and Alexander Blair North-West—Mr. Marshall’s southern boundary. South—the Mangaone river and Mr. Sealy’s boundary. Eastward—Mr. Villier’s and Mr. Cookburn’s Western boundaries. 7,000
