NOTICE is hereby given that a sitting of the Supreme Court for the despatch of Criminal Business will be holden at the Court House, Wellington, on Monday, the 2nd day of June next, at ten o'clock in the forenoon, at which time and place, all persons under Recognizances to appear either as Prosecutors, Defendants, or Witnesses, are required to give their attendance.

THE undermentioned Lands situate in the Eastern District of Wanganui, will be sold by auction by direction of the Board of Commissioners for Highways of the said District, on THURSDAY, the 29th day of May, 1856, at Mr. MONTGOMERY'S, (ferry) Wanganui, in the said District, at the hour of 12 at noon, to defray the arrears of Highway Rates made the 8th of March, 1855, at 2d. per acre, and expenses incurred.
