PASTURE LICENCES.

PURSUANT to the Regulations of 1851, the following Schedule of Runs awarded in the Wairarapa and East Coast Districts, is published for general information.

Robert Russell North. Turanganui River. East. The Aorangi Range and the Okoropeka stream to its mouth. South. The coast line of Palliser Bay. West. The Reserve granted to Raniera. This Run was held under Native Leases. 6000 acres. Land purchased by claimant, 860 acres. 1,500 sheep.
Joseph Kelly North. The southern boundary of Peter Hume's run. East. Te Ao rangi. South. The Turanganui River, being the Northern boundary of R. Russell's run. West. The Ruamahanga river. This run was held under Native Leases. 2000 acres. Land purchased by the claimant, 280 acres. 120 head of cattle.
Peter Hume North. The Wangaehu stream, and a line from that stream to Pukeatua in the Aorangi range. East. The Aorangi range. South. The Raho ruru river and along the southern boundary of Peter Hume's purchased land to the Ruamahanga river. West. The Ruamahanga river. This run was held under Native Leases. 5000 acres. Land purchased by applicant, 80 acres; and by Mr. Tollemache for the applicant, 1000 acres. 320 sheep and 135 head of cattle.
Archibald Gillies, assignee of W. Allen North. The Paharakake and Ruamahanga rivers. East. The Aorangi range. South. The run awarded to Peter Hume. West. Ruamahanga river and the Lake. This run was held under Native Leases. 9000 acres. Considerable portion of this covered with water when Lake is full. Land purchased by claimant, 200 acres. Part of the cattle & sheep referred to below.
Angus McMaster South. The boundary of A. Gillies' run last mentioned. West. The Wairarapa Lake. North. The boundary of C. R. Bidwill's run. East. The Ruamahanga river, down to a creek about a mile to the north of Tuitarata; which creek is the dividing boundary between Mr. McMaster and Mr. Gillies' Otaraia run, thence by that creek to the Aorangi range; and thence by the Aorangi range to the Paharakake river. This run was held under Native Leases. 20,000 acres. Land purchased within the boundaries by claimant, 1,950 acres. 600 sheep and 360 head of cattle. A large portion of this run is under water when the Lake is full.
Archibald Gillies North. The Dry river. East. The Aorangi range. West. The Ruamahanga river. South. A creek about a mile north of Tuitarata, being the boundary of Mr. McMaster's run. This run was held under Native Leases. 9,060 acres. Land purchased within the boundaries by claimant, 3,230 acres. 1,000 sheep and 500 head of cattle, partly on this run, and partly on the run above described.
