PROVINCE OF WELLINGTON.
WHEREAS by an Act of the Provincial Council of the Province, Session II, No. 3, intituled “An Act to amend the Law relating to Coroners,” It is among other things enacted, “That the Superintendent shall define and from time to time divide and alter the Districts to which Coroners shall be assigned.”
Therefore I, Isaac Earl Featherston, the Superintendent of the said Province, Do hereby declare that the said Province shall for the purposes of the Act, before referred to, be divided as follows:—

The Wellington District comprises the Town of Wellington and the Wellington Country Districts, viz.:—The several Districts of Wades’ Town, Kai Warra warra, the Harbor, as far as the Cora Cora stream, Ohiro, Karori, Makara, Town, Watt’s Peninsula, Ohariu, Takapu, Horokiwi, Porirua, the country between the Porirua District, and the Manawetu river, and the Islands of Kapiti and Mana.

The Rangitikei District comprises the Country between the Manawatu River, the Wangaihu River, the Coast and the Ruahine range of hills.

The Wangaihu District comprises the Country between the Wangaihu River, the Northern Boundary of the Province, the Coast, and the Ruahine range of hills.

The Hutt District comprises the several Districts of the Hutt, the Upper Hutt, the Pakuratahi to the summit of the Rimutaka Range, the Lowry Bay, Wainui Omata, and adjacent country to the Rimutaka range of hills.

The Wairarapa District comprises the Country between the Rimutaka range of hills, the Coast, and a line drawn from Cape Turnagain on the east coast to the Gorge of the Manawetu in the Ruahine range of hills.

The Ahuriri District comprises the Country north of the line from Cape Turnagain on the east coast, to the Manawetu Gorge in the Ruahine Range, and between the Northern Boundary Line of the Province, the Coast and the Ruahine range of hills.
