PROCLAMATION.
By His Honor Isaac Earl Featherston,
Esquire, Superintendent of the Province
of Wellington, in the Islands of New Zealand.
WHEREAS, by an Act passed in the Provincial Council of the Province of Wellington, Sess. I, No. 21, intituled, "An Act to provide for the making, maintaining, repairing, and management of Country Roads within the Province of Wellington," it is among other things enacted, that the Superintendent of the Province of Wellington shall, from time to time, as he shall deem fit, by Proclamation declare the districts within which Rates upon Land shall be levied for the making, maintenance, repair, and improvement of the highways then and thereafter to be made therein, and the boundaries of such districts:
Now therefore I, Isaac Earl Featherston, the Superintendent of the said Province of Wellington, in virtue of the power and authority in me vested in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare, the District of Waiwetu as hereinafter defined shall be a district within which rates upon land shall be levied for the making, maintenance, repair, and improvement of the highways now and hereafter to be made therein, and for other the purposes of the Act hereinbefore referred to.
And I do also hereby proclaim and declare the boundaries of such district to be:—
North—The Northern Boundary Line of Section Number Twenty-nine, Hutt District, thence along the Western Boundary Line of Section Thirty-three; Hutt District, and the Northern Boundary Lines of Sections Thirty-three and Thirty-four in the same district.
South—The Southern Boundary Line of said Section Twenty-nine, thence along the Western Boundary Line of Section Twenty-six, Hutt District, Southern Boundary Lines of Sections Twenty-six and Twenty-seven in the same district.
East—The Eastern Boundary Lines of said Sections Twenty-seven and Thirty-four.
West—The Western Boundary Line of said Section Number Twenty-nine.
Given under my hand, and issued under the Public Seal of the Province of Wellington, at Wellington, this sixth day of December, one thousand eight hundred and fifty-five.
