SCHEDULE OF RUNS APPLIED FOR IN THE HAWKES’ BAY DISTRICT.

Eastern portion of the Hapuku Block.

NAME OF APPLICANT. BOUNDARIES OF RUNS. Probable extent in Acres. Amount of Stock the property of applicant in his permanent possession, now on the run. Locality and extent of any other run held by applicant or in his name in this Province.
Edward Collins North. The Mangangarara Creek, from the Tukituki to the Roturua Lake; and the Creek from the Lake to Atua mountain. E. The last-named creek and the Atua range down to the Koaroaro stream at the Makara Station. W. The Tukituki, the Native Reserve at Tamamu, the Mangamahaka Creek to Tarawera bush. S. The Tarawera and Koaroaro Stream to the spur of the Atua mountain, coming down to Makara Station. 11,000 acres, much of it rugged down, in fern hills. 1000 and 500 to lamb None by him or in his name.
James H. Northwood. N. The Koaroaro and a line due west from Pawanui on the coast to the Koaroaro. E. The sea. W. A line from the point where the Moturaurakau stream cuts the southern boundary of the block, or a point not more than seven miles from the sea coast, due north to the Tarawera bush. S. The southern boundary of the Hapuku Block. 40,000 acres, mostly rough fern hills 4800 sheep, 32 cattle. About 5000 acres at Ahiaruhi, Wairarapa, stocked with 1000 sheep, & 100 cattle
W. Frederick Hargrave and Peter Couper. N. The Mangakuri river, from its mouth to the pa, thence the summits of the northernmost range of hills running from the pa to the Atua mountain, and to the Creek flowing thence to the Roturua Lake. E. The sea. W. The Atua mountain range from the northern boundary to the Koaroaro stream at Omakara. S. The Koaroaro from the spur of the Atua mountain to the Kairere (a fern hill), and thence by a line running nearly eastward to the sea at Pawanui. 21,000 acres, character as above. 1300 sheep. None.

Certain conditions specified as agreed on between Messrs. Northwood and Hargrave, and Messrs. Hargrave and Chapman.
