HIS HONOR THE SUPERINTENDENT directs it to be notified for general information, that a writ for the election of two Members of the Provincial Council for the Wairarapa and Hawke’s-Bay Districts, having been issued in accordance with Clause 12, of
“An Act to grant a Representative Constitution to the Colony of New Zealand,”
the Returning Officer for the said Districts has returned the said Writ with a Certificate to the effect that the undermentioned gentlemen have been duly elected to serve as Members of the said Provincial Council, for the said Districts, viz.:
Samuel Revans, Esq., and
Francis Dillon Bell, Esq.

FROM the date hereof the Overland Mail for New Plymouth will be despatched at 3 o’clock every Monday afternoon, instead of every alternate Monday, as heretofore.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that a Sitting of the Supreme Court, for the despatch of Criminal business, will be holden at the Court House, Wellington, on Thursday, the first day of June next, at ten o’clock in the forenoon, at which time and place all persons under recognizances to appear, either as prosecutors, defendants, or witnesses, are hereby required to give their attendance.
