NOTICE TO MILITIA AND VOLUNTEER SCRIP HOLDERS.

Superintendent’s Office,
New Plymouth, Nov. 19, 1874.

SCRIP will be paid by Mr. R. Chilman,
Receiver of Land Revenue, at the
Custom House, New Plymouth, on and
after Monday, the 23rd instant.

Holders of Scrip are requested to make
immediate application.

NOTICE TO CARTERS.

THE following clauses of the “Municipal Police Ordinance, 1862,” are published for general information; and persons are cautioned that a penalty of not less than Five Shillings, nor exceeding Two Pounds, will be inflicted for the following offences:—

Every driver of a vehicle not driven by means of reins, who shall ride thereupon, there being no person on foot to guide, the same, or who shall wilfully remain at such a distance from his vehicle, whilst in motion, as not to have command of the Horses or Cattle drawing the same.

Every person who shall throw any glass, china, or earthenware upon a public thoroughfare, or hoops.

THE NATIVE LANDS FRAUDS PREVENTION ACT, 1870.

THE TRUST COMMISSIONER for
the Province of Taranaki will sit in
the Court-room, in the Taranaki Institute,
for the transaction of business under the
Act, on every Thursday, at half-past 10 o’clock a.m. Should there be no business in the District Court, applications under “The Native Lands Frauds Prevention Act, 1870,” will be adjourned until the following day.

NOTICE TO OWNERS OF CATTLE.

If any Cattle shall be found wandering at large, information will be laid by the Police in the Resident Magistrate’s Court.
