THE WAITARA AND NEW PLYMOUTH RAILWAY.
RAILWAY COMPENSATION.
NOTICE.
IT is requested, that applications under the 29th Clause of the Act be sent in in triplicate, and as near as may be, in the following form:—
FORM OF APPLICATION.
"In the matter of the ‘Immigration and Public Works Act Amendment Act, 1871,’ and in the matter of the Waitara, New Plymouth Railway, and in the matter of the application of A.B., of , in the Province of , in the Colony of New Zealand, [Here state description or occupation of A.B.]
"I hereby apply, and request, that you will issue a summons herein to , of , in the Province of , and proceed to the hearing of this claim under the 29th Section of the above named Act. The property for which I seek compensation is part of [Here give numbers of sections, and other particulars necessary to identify the land taken for the Railway.]
"The amount offered to me by the Government is £
"The amount I claim is £
"Dated at , this day of , 1873.
"(Signature) A.B.
"To His Honor,
"The Judge of the District Court of Taranaki."
The application should be accompanied by a PLAN (which need not be in triplicate) showing the boundaries of the property out of which the land has been taken, its area, the course of the line of Railway, the area taken by the Government, any buildings erected on the property, and any natural features,—as streams, &c., which may be of importance to the enquiry.
By the supply of the above information, in the application, and plan, the enquiry will be materially shortened, and its expense in consequence diminished.
As soon as may be, after the receipt of the applications, and plan, and the payment of the deposit fixed by the Judge under the 33rd Section, the District Judge will issue his summons, appoint two assessors, and inform the applicant of the day on which the application will be heard.
It is further particularly requested that the applications under the 29th Section may be sent in as soon as possible, so that the business may be disposed of with a minimum of delay.
