ROADS AND BRIDGES.
NOTICE.
Altering the months for general meetings, and appointing general meetings for Nos. 24, 25, and 26 Road Districts.

New Plymouth, July 1, 1872.
WHEREAS by the 6th clause of the “Roads and Bridges Ordinance, 1858,” it is provided that a General Meeting of the electors of each District shall be convened in the month of May, in every year, on such day and at such place as shall be appointed by the Superintendent: And, whereas by the 49th clause of the said Ordinance, power is given to the Superintendent, with the approval of the Provincial Council, by notice to be published in the Government Gazette, to alter the month in which General Meetings of the electors of each District shall be held; Now, therefore, I, Frederick Alonzo Carrington, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Taranaki, do hereby, with the approval of the Provincial Council, alter the month for the holding of General Meetings of the electors of the undermentioned districts from the month of May to the month of August viz:—
Number 24 or Hawera Road District.
Number 25 or Patea West Road District.
Number 26 or Patea East Road District.

NOTICE.
Appointing a Minimum Rate for Nos. 24, 25, and 26 Road Districts.

New Plymouth, July 1, 1872.
WHEREAS by the 13th clause of the “Roads and Bridges Ordinance, 1858,” it is provided that the Minimum Rate to be imposed in any Rural District shall not be less than 6d per acre: And, whereas by the 49th clause of the said Ordinance, power is given to the Superintendent, with the approval of the Provincial Council, by notice to be published in the Government Gazette, to alter the minimum rate or rates to be imposed in one or more districts; Now, therefore, I, Frederick Alonzo Carrington, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Taranaki, do hereby, with the approval of the Provincial Council, alter the Minimum Rate of sixpence to one penny for the undermentioned Road Districts for the ensuing six months, viz:—
Number 24 or Hawera Road District.
Number 25 or Patea West Road District.
Number 26 or Patea East Road District.
