Justices of the Peace Appointments

18 TARANAKI GOVERNMENT GAZETTE.

I will not say, however, that in the best design alterations might not be made, amongst which I may suggest the decrease of the two main spans to 100 feet—or even less—and a corresponding increase of the side spans, so as to keep the full present water-way. Some details might, I think, also be altered with advantage, into the consideration of which I need not now enter. I shall, however, be glad to assist as far as I can in any points which may arise for consideration, and with a hope that the work will now be proceeded with, and the Waitara shortly spanned by a bridge.—I have, &c.

(Signed) JOHN BLACKETT,
Acting Engineer-in-Chief.

Taranaki.
