NOTICE

Publishing Names of Commissioners, and Rates per acre imposed at the General Meeting of 19th Road District for the year 1870.

New Plymouth, November 10, 1870.

I is hereby notified for general information, that at a General Meeting of the Electors of the Nineteenth District, constituted under the “Roads and Bridges Ordinance, 1858,” which was duly held in accordance with the provisions of the said Ordinance, the persons whose names appear in the following Schedule, opposite the numbers of the said District respectively, were duly elected Commissioners respectively for the said District for the year 1870–1, and the rates placed opposite to the number of the said District in the said Schedule, was duly imposed on all lands within the said District respectively:

Names of Commissioners.—A. Telfar, D. Lynch, L. Shoeres.
Auditors.—None appointed.
Rate per acre.—2d.

No. of District.—19th or Urenui Road District.

“CATTLE IMPOUNDING ORDINANCE, 1870.”

NOTICE

Appointing Pound Paddocks for the Districts of Oakura and Omata.

New Plymouth, November 1, 1870.

IN exercise of the authority conferred on me by Section 21 of the “Cattle Impounding Ordinance, 1870,” Session 18, No. 7, I, FREDERIC ALONZO CARRINGTON, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Taranaki, do hereby proclaim the following Paddock to be a Pound Paddock according to the terms of the said recited Ordinance.

District of Oakura:
Paddock in Section No. 32, abutting on the Surrey Hill Road, in the occupation of R. Jury.

District of Omata:
Paddock in Section No. 8, abutting on the South Road, in the occupation of T. Newsham.

ERRATUM.

In Gazette No. 17, of Tuesday, November 8, 1870, page 84, in the list of Commissioners and Auditors elected—for “the year 1869–70,” read “the year 1870–71;” for “New Plymouth, 24th September, 1869,” read “New Plymouth, 24th September, 1870.” Also, in the 22nd (Waitara West) District, for “R. Hurst,” read “W. Nichol.”
