ROADS AND BRIDGES ORDINANCE,

Superintendent’s Office,
August 1, 1870.

WHEREAS sundry irregularities have occurred through Ratepayers not paying their RATES into the Treasury; notice is hereby given that the Rate for the year 1870-71, must, in every case, be paid into the Provincial Treasury; and that any Rate not so paid, in accordance with Clause 26 of the “Road and Bridges Ordinance, 1858,” will be recovered as directed in the said Ordinance.

IN exercise of the authority vested in the Superintendent by an Ordinance of the Superintendent and Provincial Council, intituled “An Ordinance to authorise the erection of Toll Bars and levying Tolls within the Province of Taranaki,” Session XVI., No. 6, I, George Cutfield, Esquire, Deputy Superintendent of the Province of Taranaki, do hereby appoint

to be Collector of Tolls at the Henui Toll Gate, on the North Road. The appointment to take effect from the 10th day of August, 1870.
