NOTICE is hereby given, that the several parcels of Waste Lands of the Crown particularly specified and described in the Schedule hereunder written, are required for the purposes mentioned and set opposite to the descriptions of the said parcels of land respectively in the said Schedule, and that the same have been respectively excepted from sale and reserved to Her Majesty by the Orders in Council bearing the date mentioned in the said Schedule.

SCHEDULE.
PROVINCE OF TARANAKI.
Description of Land.—All the unsold Waste Lands of the Crown in the Waiwakaiho, Hua, and Tarurutangi Districts, in the Province of Taranaki, the boundaries whereof are as follows:—The straight line bounding the purchased land from the point where it intersects the Kaiauai River to the Mangorei River; the River Mangorei to section thirty-nine (39); the southern boundary of that section to the River Mangakarewarewa; the last-named river to its junction with Mangorei; the Kent Road to southern boundary of section thirty-seven (37); the southern boundary of that section to the River Mangamahoe; the last-named river to section twenty-five (25); the southern boundary of section twenty-five (25), to the road on the west of it; the last-named road to its junction with the Albert Road; the Albert Road to section number four (4); the southern boundary of section number four (4) and of the Native Reserve adjoining to the River Araheke; the last-named river to the southern boundary of section forty-four (44); the southern boundary of section forty-four (44), to the Egmont Road; the Egmont Road to the southern boundary of section forty-two (42); the southern boundary of section forty-two (42), to the River Mangaoraka; the last-named river to a straight line forming the southern boundary of the purchased land.
Purpose for which Reserve is made.—Military defence and other purposes of public utility.
Date of Order in Council excepting Land from sale.—7th January, 1869.
Description of Land.—All that allotment or parcel of land situate in the Fitzroy District, in the Town of New Plymouth, being part of the parcel of land known as the Marsland Hill, being a square plot, whereof the northernmost angle is distant from the north-western angle of the intersection of Brougham-street and Fulford-street, one hundred and ninety (190) feet, at an angle from Brougham-street aforesaid of ninety-nine (99) degrees forty (40) minutes, bounded by lines bearing south-east, one hundred and fifty-eight (158) degrees twenty (20) minutes; and north-west, three hundred and thirty-eight (338) degrees thirty minutes, and by other lines at right angles thereto, each side being of the length of twenty-five (25) feet, and comprising an area of six hundred and twenty-five (625) square feet.
Purpose for which Reserve is made.—Site for a Monument to be erected to the memory of certain Officers and Soldiers of Her Majesty’s Forces.
