PROCLAMATION.
"TOWN BUILDINGS ROOFING ORDINANCE, 1867."

New Plymouth, May 19, 1869.
WHEREAS by the "Town Buildings Roofing Ordinance, 1867," it is provided that it shall be lawful for the Superintendent, with the advice of the Provincial Council, expressed by resolution thereof, from time to time by Proclamation in the Government Gazette of the Province, to declare the provisions therein contained to be in force in any town, or part of a town within the Province of Taranaki; the boundaries whereof respectively shall be defined by such Proclamation.
And whereas the said Provincial Council has by resolution defined the following boundary within the Town of New Plymouth, within which the said Ordinance shall be in force:—
Now, therefore, I, Henry Robert Richmond, Esq., Superintendent of the Province of Taranaki, do hereby proclaim that the said Ordinance shall be in force in that portion of the Town of New Plymouth, bounded as follows, viz.:—
On the North by the sea beach, on the West by Queen-street and the Market place, on the South by Vivian-street and Courtenay-street, and on the East by Liardet-street and the Hua-toki river.

"TURNPIKE ORDINANCE, 1868."
Notice declaring portions of the South Road, the Old Omata Road, the Devon Road, and Watson-street, to be Trunk Lines:
Superintendent’s Office,
New Plymouth, June 2, 1869.
WHEREAS by the 1st clause of the "Turnpike Ordinance, 1868," power is given to the Superintendent, with the approval of the Provincial Council, by notice in the Government Gazette, from time to time to declare that certain lines of road therein described shall be constituted Trunk Lines.
Now, therefore, I, Henry Robert Richmond, Esq., Superintendent of the Province of Taranaki, do hereby, with the approval of the Provincial Council, declare that the lines of road described hereunder, shall, from and after the date hereof, be Trunk Lines:—
The South or New Omata Road, from Cutfleld Road, Town of New Plymouth, to the Western boundary of section No. 21, Omata block.
The Old Omata Road, from section No. 14, Grey block, to the Paritutu line.
Devon-street and its continuation known as the Devon Road, from Watson-street, Town of New Plymouth, to Henwood Road, Hua block.
Watson-street, Town of New Plymouth, from Devon-street to Oriental Crescent.
