ACCEPTED TENDERS.

THE following Tenders have been accepted by the Provincial Government, from November 1868, to April 1869:—

South Road, Okato.

Removing 480 yards Earth (more or less), average run, three chains; John Paling, 6½d.

Painting Mangoraka Bridge.

Labor only, three coats, about 200 yards; T. Sole and H. L. Lee, £4 10s.

Building Chimney, Te Henui.

Labor only, £2 10s.; S. Curtis.

Oakura Cutting.

Filling up approach to Oakura Bridge, 1,500 yards, average run, 7 chains; time, two months; 5d. per yard; John Bland.

Fencing.

Taking down Fence at Omata Stockade and re-erecting, 4s. 6d. per chain; N. Julian.

Painting Waiongona Bridge.

Labor only, £4 15s.; S. Madden.


Supplying Paving for Timaru Bridge.

3,500 feet (more or less) delivered, £1 17s.; West and Donnolly.

Earthwork, Mangoraka.

600 yards (more or less) average run, 9 chains; time, one month; 6½d. per cubic yard; Charles Callaghan.

Earthwork, Waiongona.

1,200 yards (more or less), average run, 2 chains; time, six weeks; 5¼d. per cubic yard; M. Holtain. Cancelled—given to Charles Callaghan, at 7d.

Earthwork, Okato.

600 yards (more or less), average run, 2 chains; 5¼d. per cubic yard.

800 yards (more or less), average run, 4 chains; 6d. per cubic yard; time, two and a half months; R. Keogh, Julian Van.

Cutting Devon Road near Bell Block.

400 yards (more or less), average run, two chains, 5d. per yard; Laird & Wotherspoon.

Painting Government Buildings.

Labour and brushes only, 1¼d. per superficial yard; James Bellinger.

Erecting Pound at Tikorangi.

Heart of red pine, 4 panels by 6, Government to find bolts and hinges, £7 5s. 0d.; Edward Lye.

Towai Bark.

Three tons of Towai Bark, stripped this season, and delivered in town dry, £4 per ton; W. J. Wells.
