PUBLIC FOOTPATHS.
N O T I C E.
Superintendent’s Office,
New Plymouth, November 3, 1869.
IN exercise of the authority given by an Ordinance of the Superintendent and Provincial Council of Taranaki, intituled the “Municipal Police Ordinance, 1862,”
I, Frederick Alonzo Carrington, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Taranaki, do hereby give notice and declare that the undermentioned Footpaths shall henceforth be deemed and taken to be Public Footpaths within the meaning of an Ordinance of the Lieutenant-Governor of New Zealand, and of the Legislative Council thereof, intituled “An Ordinance to provide for the protection of Footpaths in the Colony of New Zealand,” and shall be protected accordingly.
DEVON-STREET.
The Footway in Devon-street from the Market Place to the Cutfield Road, south side, of the width of fourteen feet six inches.
DAWSON-STREET.
The Footway in Dawson-street from Brougham-street to Fulford-street, east side, of the width of twelve feet.

QUARTERLY LICENSING MEETING.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Quarterly Licensing Meeting of the Justices of the Peace acting in and for the District of Taranaki, will be holden at the Resident Magistrate’s Court, in Brougham-street, in the Town of New Plymouth, on Tuesday, the 7th day of December next, at noon, for the purpose of taking into consideration all applications for Licenses under the “Sale of Liquors Ordinance, 1866,” and the transfer, removal, or renewal of such Licenses.

IT is hereby notified that a Writ issued for the election of a Superintendent of the Province of Taranaki, has been returned with a Certificate to the effect that Frederick Alonzo Carrington, Esq., of New Plymouth, Freeholder, has been duly elected.

ROBERT CHISENHALL HAMERTON, Registrar of Joint Stock Companies for the Province of Taranaki, do hereby notify that I have registered a Memorandum of Association, with Articles of Association annexed, establishing a Company, with limited liability of the shareholders therein, intituled
“The Pioneer Steel Company, Limited,”
the objects of which are “the Smelting and Manufacture of Iron and Steel from the Taranaki Iron Sand.”
And that, in pursuance of the provisions of “The Joint Stock Companies Act, 1860,” I have issued a Certificate of Incorporation of the said Company, bearing date the 20th day of September, 1869.
