PROCLAMATION

By His Honor Frederic Alonzo Carrington, Esquire,
Superintendent of the Province of Taranaki.

WHEREAS, Harry Eyre Kenny, Esquire, Returning Officer for the Province of Taranaki, did, on the 2nd of October instant, openly declare and publicly notify that at the election of a Superintendent for the Province of Taranaki, I, Frederic Alonzo Carrington, was duly elected, by a majority of the voters of the whole Province, to be Superintendent thereof. Now, therefore, I do hereby proclaim and declare that I have assumed the office of Superintendent of the Province of Taranaki accordingly, and I hereby call upon the inhabitants of the said Province to aid and assist me therein.
