HIS Excellency the Governor has been pleased to accept the resignation of the Commission held by the undermentioned Officer, viz:—
Captain F. L. Webster, Taranaki Militia.
PEOPLE’S PETROLEUM COMPANY (Limited).—Notice is hereby given that an Extraordinary General Meeting of “The People’s Petroleum Company (Limited)” will be held at the Registered Office of the Company in Brougham-street, New Plymouth, on Saturday, the first day of August, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-eight, at the hour of four o’clock, p.m., of which meeting a notice specifying the intention to propose the following resolution had been duly given, the following resolution was passed by three-fourths in number and value of such Shareholders of the Company for the time being entitled to vote as were present in person thereat:—
Resolution—“It is resolved that the People’s Petroleum Company (Limited) shall be wound up voluntarily.”

PEOPLE’S PETROLEUM COMPANY (Limited).—Notice is hereby given that an Extraordinary General Meeting of the People’s Petroleum Company (Limited) will be held at the Registered Office of the Company, in Brougham-street, New Plymouth, on Saturday, the nineteenth day of September, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-eight, at the hour of four p.m., for the purpose of confirming the following resolution which was passed by three fourths in number and value of the Shareholders of the Company for the time being entitled to vote present at a meeting of the Company held at the Registered Office of the Company, in Brougham-street, New Plymouth, on Saturday, the first day of August, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-eight, duly convened for that purpose.
Resolution—“It is resolved that the People’s Petroleum Company (Limited) shall be wound up voluntarily.”
