I HEREBY appoint
WILLIAM HATELY,
to be Registrar of Brands under the
“Branding of Cattle Ordinance, 1867,”
for the Registrar’s District constituted by
notice in the Provincial Government
Gazette, No. 8, 1867. The appointment
to date from the 17th April, 1867.

IT is notified for general information,
that a Writ for the Election of a
Member of the Provincial Council for the
Grey and Bell District having been issued
in accordance with the provisions of “An
Act to grant a Representative Constitution
to the Colony of New Zealand,” the Returning Officer for the said District has
returned the said Writ with a certificate
to the effect that

WILLIAM TATTON,
was duly elected on the 15th May, 1867,
to serve as Member of the Provincial
Council for the Grey and Bell District, in
the place of William Watson, resigned.

to be a member of the Executive Council
in the place of William Mumford Burton, resigned.

TOWN RATES.

NOTICE is hereby given that the List
of Ratepayers for the Town of New
Plymouth for the year 1867, will be open
for public inspection at the Taranaki
Institute, on and after Friday, the 14th
June instant, and that the Town Board
will attend at the Town Board Office, on
Monday, the 24th June instant, for the
purpose of hearing and determining
objections to the said list.

Notice is also given that the Town
Rates will be due on Monday, the 1st
July proximo.
