ROADS AND BRIDGES.

NOTICE

Altering the month for a General Meeting, and appointing a General Meeting for No. 18 Road District.

Superintendent’s Office,
New Plymouth, Jan. 5, 1867.

WHEREAS by the 6th clause of the "Roads and Bridges Ordinance, 1858," it is provided that a General Meeting of the electors for each District shall be convened in the month of May in every year, on such day and at such place as shall be appointed by the Superintendent. And whereas by the 49th clause of the said Ordinance, power is given to the Superintendent, with the approval of the Provincial Council, by notice to be published in the Government Gazette, to alter the month in which General Meetings of the electors for each district shall be held. Now therefore I, Henry Robert Richmond, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Taranaki, do hereby, with the approval of the Provincial Council, alter the month for the holding of General Meetings of the electors for the undermentioned District from the month of May to the month of January, and I hereby appoint that a General Meeting shall be held in this present month of January as follows:

18th Road District,
the Redoubt, at Clifton, on Monday, the 21st day of January, at 12 o'clock.
