Appointment of W. Bayly and Jas. Dingle, as Commissioners for 6th District.

IT is hereby notified for general information that
W. BAYLY and J. DINGLE
have been appointed Commissioners for the Sixth Road District, in accordance with the 17th clause of the Roads and Bridges Ordinance, 1858, in the place of P. Elliot and James Honeyfield, who have refused to act as Commissioners.

TOWN OF NEW PLYMOUTH PUBLIC WORKS ORDINANCE, 1864.
NOTICE
As to posting of List of Ratepayers and hearing of objections thereto.
Town Board Office,
New Plymouth, May 9, 1866.
IT is hereby notified for general information that the list of ratepayers for the Town of New Plymouth for the year 1866, will be open for public inspection in the building in Brougham-street known as ‘The Taranaki Institute,’ and used for the purposes of a Court House, on and after FRIDAY, the 18th May instant, and that the Town Board will attend at the Town Board Office in the same building, on MONDAY, the 28th May instant, for the purpose of hearing and determining any objections to the said list.
It is further notified that the rates for the year 1866, will be due on FRIDAY, the 1st June, proximo.

THE following resolutions of the Provincial Council for regulating the assistance given by the Provincial Government to Schools, are published for general information:—
Extract from Minutes of Council, 24th April, 1866.
RESOLVED,—
- That all Schools opened in situations approved of by the Superintendent shall be entitled to Government Aid to an amount of 15s. per annum in respect of every pupil between the ages of five and ten years who shall pay a School Fee not exceeding 6s. 6d. per quarter, and of 20s. per annum in respect of every pupil
