NOTICE

Constituting districts under "Roads and Bridges Ordinance, 1858."

New Plymouth, April 10, 1866.

WHEREAS by the second clause of the "Roads and Bridges Ordinance, 1858," power is given to the Superintendent, by notice to be published in the Government Gazette of the Province with the approval of the Provincial Council, to constitute districts within which the provisions of the said Ordinance shall be in force.

Now therefore I, HENRY ROBERT RICHMOND, Esquire, Superintendent of the said Province, do hereby, with the approval of the Provincial Council, constitute the following districts under the recited Ordinance :-

NO. 12 DISTRICT.

The block of land bounded by the Waiwakaiho river from its junction with the Mangorei river to its intersection with the Paritutu line, thence by a straight line to the intersection of the Mangorei river and Paritutu line, and thence by the Mangorei river to its junction with the Waiwakaiho river aforesaid.

NO. 13 DISTRICT.

The block of land bounded by the eastern boundary line of the Tarurutangi block from the intersection of that line with the Mangoraka river to its intersection with the Waiongana river thence by the Waiongana river to its intersection with the Paritutu line, thence by the Paritutu line to its intersection with the Mangoraka river, and thence by the Mangoraka river to its intersection with the eastern boundary of the block aforesaid.

NO. 14 DISTRICT.

The block of land bounded by the Matarikoriko line from its intersection with the Waitara river to its intersection with the north-eastern boundary of the Tikorangi block, thence by that line until it intersects the Mangahiwa stream, thence by a line parallel with the Matarikoriko line until it intersects the Waitara river, and thence by the said river to the Matarikoriko line.

NOTICE

Altering the minimum rate for certain districts constituted under the "Roads and Bridges Ordinance, 1858."

New Plymouth, April 10, 1866.

WHEREAS by the 49th clause of the "Roads and Bridges Ordinance, 1858," power is given to the Superintendent, with the approval of the Provincial Council, by notice to be published in the Government Gazette, to alter the minimum rate or rates to be imposed in one or more districts.

Now therefore I, HENRY ROBERT RICHMOND, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Taranaki, do hereby, with the approval of the Provincial Council, alter the minimum rate of sixpence imposed by the said Ordinance to threepence per acre for the undermentioned districts.

NOTICE

Altering the month for general meetings and appointing general meetings.

New Plymouth, April 10, 1866.

WHEREAS by the 49th clause of the "Roads and Bridges Ordinance, 1858," power is given to the Superintendent, with the approval of the Provincial Council, by notice to be published in the Government Gazette to alter the month in which general meetings of the electors for each district shall be held.

Now therefore I, HENRY ROBERT RICHMOND, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Taranaki, do hereby, with the approval of the Provincial Council, alter the month for the holding of general meetings of the electors for the undermentioned districts from the month of May to the month of April. And I hereby appoint that such general meetings shall be held in this present month of April, as follows :-

12TH DISTRICT,
at the Taranaki Institute, on Saturday, the 28th day of April, at 3 p.m.

13TH DISTRICT,
at the Taranaki Institute, on Saturday, the 28th day of April, at 3 p.m.

14TH DISTRICT,
at the Tikorangi Blockhouse, on Saturday, the 28th day of April, at 2 p.m.
