HIS Excellency the Governor has been pleased to make the undermentioned appointment, viz.—

In the Taranaki Militia.
Matthew Jenkins Jones to be Lieutenant.

NOTICE.

In the Assigned Estate of Obadiah Silcock, of New Plymouth, Furnishing Ironmonger.

NOTICE is hereby given that by deed bearing date the 22nd day of January, 1866, made between Obadiah Silcock, of New Plymouth, in the Province of Taranaki and Colony of New Zealand, Furnishing Ironmonger, of the first part; James Cruickshank, of the firm of Cruickshank, Smart, and Company, of Auckland, in the Province of Auckland, General Merchants, Alfred Wharrie Shave, also of Auckland, Gentleman, and James Brown Lawson of New Plymouth, aforesaid, Gentleman, Creditors of the said Obadiah Silcock, named and appointed for the benefit of the Creditors of the said Obadiah Silcock, of the second part; and the several other persons, Creditors of the said Obadiah Silcock, whose names are thereto subscribed, of the third part: the said Obadiah Silcock did assign all his Stock-in-Trade, Goods, Chattels, Debts, Furniture, and Effects (subject as in the said deed of assignment is mentioned) unto the said James Cruickshank, Alfred Wharrie Shave, and James Brown Lawson, in trust for themselves and the other Creditors of the said Obadiah Silcock.

Notice is further given that the above deed lies at the Office of the undersigned, in New Plymouth, for signature, and that it is provided by the said deed that such of the Creditors of the said Obadiah Silcock as shall not execute the same within three months from the date thereof, will be excluded from all benefit under the assignment.
