ROADS AND BRIDGES ORDINANCE, 1858.

NOTICE

Revoking notice constituting Sixth District, and constituting Sixth and Seventeenth Districts in lieu thereof.

New Plymouth, December 14, 1866.

WHEREAS by the 2nd clause of the “Roads and Bridges Ordinance, 1858,” it is provided that it shall be lawful for the Superintendent, amongst other things, to constitute Districts within which the provisions of the said Ordinance shall be in force, and in like manner to revoke the notices by which any such District shall have been constituted. Now, therefore, I, Henry Robert Richmond, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Taranaki, in exercise of the before recited authority, do hereby, with the approval of the Provincial Council, revoke the notice dated May 19, 1857, and published in the Government Gazette of the Province, No. 12, 1857, as relates to the constitution of the Sixth District for the purpose of the “Public Works Ordinance,” Session II., No. 9, and in lieu thereof I do hereby constitute the following Districts for the purposes of the “Roads and Bridges Ordinance, 1858,” namely:—

6th District.

All that block of land bounded as follows, viz.: On the north by the sea, on the east and south by the west side of the Outfield road, the south side by the Gladstone road, and the west side by the Belt road to the north boundary of allotment No. 20, Fitzroy District; thence by the north boundary of allotments 20, 19, and 18, the western boundary of allotment 18, the north side of the Holdsworthy road, the western boundary of allotments 25 and 39, the south boundary of allotment 38, and a line in prolongation thereof to the Paritutu line to the western boundary of the Fifth District; thence by the said last named boundary to the Ngakara stream, and on the west by the Ngakara stream to the eastern boundary of the Ninth District, and thence by the said eastern boundary to the sea.

17th District.

All that block of land bounded as follows, viz.: On the north by the Town boundary and by the boundary of the Sixth District as above described, on the east and south by the boundary of the Fifth District to its intersection with the Paritutu line, and on the west by the boundary of the Sixth District as above described.
