β¨ Diseased Cattle Act Appointments
APPOINTMENTS UNDER THE
"DISEASED CATTLE ACT, 1861."
WHEREAS it is provided by the "Diseased Cattle Act, 1861," that the several regulations and appointments made by the Superintendent of any Province in pursuance of any power delegated to him under the power of delegation hereinafter contained shall be published in the Government Gazette of such Province, and all such regulations being so published shall have the force of law. And whereas by the 2nd, 4th, 5th, 7th, 9th, and 16th sections of the said Act subject us in before I, Charles Brown, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Taranaki, do hereby appoint
John Grigg, Harbor Master, and
Thomas Allen, Inspector of Scab,
to be Inspectors of Diseased Cattle and to exercise the duties required by the said recited Act.
Dated at New Plymouth, the 19th day of January, 1865.

Now, therefore, the Governor did with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of New Zealand delegate to the Superintendent of the Province the warrant under the hand of His Excellency the Governor bearing date the 14th day of September, 1864.
